There are a bunch of other Iron Man figures out in the ocean in different scales and quality and this one in my opinion tops it's scale/class. Not really 100% movie accurate but it is one of the closest I've seen so far in this scale. Bandai really hit the spot on the design and quality of these figures. One tiny bit of resentment I have with this line is that they only came out with selected armors from the movie. Wish they completed the major armors from the movie and that they included a base or hall of armor for each figure.
Let me tell you why SHFiguarts is on the top of my list.
THE BOX
The box looks great. Big window to see everything inside and best thing is it's compact and small enough for storage. Great box art so you can display it as it is and it'd still look bad ass on your display cab.
ACCESSORIES
It includes 3 sets of extra hands, a pair of air-flaps, a pair of leg thruster covers and 3 pairs of cool looking blast effects. Would still rock if they included a display base, flight stand or hall of armor but it has enough accessories to keep you busy doing different poses and configuring attachments.
ARTICULATION
You can expect greatness in this area from SHFiguarts as you can see it really has a great range of articulation. Toe articulation, legs and elbows can bend beyond your imagination, head can move way up and way down for amazing flight poses (head has a slight problem looking left and right though due to the shoulder armor). body arm and leg joints are all efficiently articulated. It can easily do the movie pose really well. And figure has really good balance standing up due to it's die-cast feet. Fully poseable in many ways imaginable.

PAINT, SCULPT AND DETAIL
Like a shiny red car this figure has a flawless paint job. Almost like a small Hot Toys figure at 1/12th scale (6 inches). Nothing really I can say about the paint except it's perfect! Sculpt is great and in my taste is proportional and almost movie accurate. It's not as detailed as a 1/6 scale figure but this baby has got the essentials to make it a hit in it's scale and class. Two thumbs and toes up for Bandai on this one!
Overall I rate this figure 9 stars out of 10. It did ship
out with a few units having factory issues like loose joints or some cracks and dents
but the cases are minimal. Unlike from other toy companies, we all know what to
expect from Bandai products…superior quality and amazing designs. The way they
designed their Iron Man figure over shadowed the fact of it being small and all
those tiny flaws you can find in it. Nothing’s perfect but I guess the closest
one to being perfect counts.
